Visit a unique village in Flores island, that is hidden up in the mountain and living in harmony with surrounding nature. The village’s secluded location that requires a 2-hour climb to reach it, and antique house architecture that resembles a cone are among the most wonderful memories that the travelers will acquire. There are 7 conical houses where the villagers are settling, which each house is accommodating 5 to 8 families.

There are 2 houses of identical architecture for visitors to stay. When you are within the house, it is very easy to find out about the number of families who are occupying it-just look at the number of bedroom (each bedroom belongs to each family; the bedrooms are owned by parents, meanwhile the children are sleeping on floor in the living room).

2 Days /1 Night

Day 1 - Labuan Bajo → Dintor → Waerebo

Departure at 07.00 a.m. from your hotel in Labuan Bajo, enjoy driving along the southern coast to Dintor (approximately 4 hour drive), stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Unlike most restaurants where we get to choose menu, here we eat what is available at the time. And the travel operator usually make reservation a day before arrival.

It is a short drive from here to the next village where we have to continue on motorbike taxi to reach the hiking point. It is a narrow winding road, you just need to be relax and trust your driver. The hike to Waerebo is 2 hour, in the lush green jungle.

During the peak of rainy season, the village is closed for visiting. Join a welcome ritual before your exploration carries on. Spend a night here in the village. Lunch and dinner are included.

Holiday in Waerebo is purely an adventure. The expectation of high-end facilities is out of reach. A shared sleeping deck with home-made mats, cold bathing, limited hour of generator-powered electricity, and simple meals.
